Stakk Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Stakk ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Stakk is a free digital ID wallet application for Android devices. The App allows you to:

• Scan physical identification cards using your device camera
• Store encrypted copies of card images on your device
• Organize and view your stored cards
• Optionally connect to business identity providers for employee badges

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your PIN and device
• Ensuring that you have the legal right to digitize any cards you scan
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Understanding that digital copies of IDs may not be accepted as valid identification in all situations

4. Data Ownership

All data you create within the App (card images, metadata, notes) belongs to you. The App stores all data exclusively on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we claim any rights over, your data.

5. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• That digital copies of IDs will be accepted by any authority or organization
• That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against all threats
• That OCR text extraction will be accurate or complete

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developers of Stakk be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose, including identity fraud or forgery
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Distribute modified versions of the App
• Use the App to store or present counterfeit identification documents

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party business identity providers through OAuth connections. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
